This spring, members of the Irvine Lab stepped into the spotlight as part of the public outreach event surrounding Dr. Andrew Ward’s Front Row Lecture at Scripps Research. Designed to engage the broader community in cutting-edge biomedical science, the event featured interactive booths and opportunities to connect directly with the researchers behind today’s biggest breakthroughs.
Postdoctoral researchers Holly Coleman, Namit Chaudhary, and Asheley Chapman hosted a booth focused on viruses and vaccines—offering hands-on activities and approachable explanations to help demystify some of the most talked-about topics in science. From visualizing viral structures to understanding how vaccines protect the body, the team sparked meaningful conversations with attendees of all ages.
